The new technology has helped society in so many ways. One of the largest accomplishments was the updated assembly line. Henry Ford updated the assembly line increasing production in his company to 248,000 cars from 78,000 cars while decreasing the amount each car costs at the same time from $1,000 to only $300. This update meant that the goods moved to each new station instead of the people moving to each station. This technology moved on to other companies and into other industries, improving the production of goods and cost of goods. Entertainment was a huge increase during this time as well. A new technology called the radio was invented which had stations like the KDKA; which was the the first radio station. This allowed people to listen to sports, news, concerts, and sermons at home. Photography was also enhanced leading to silent movies to be created which allowed people to watch something other than a play. This soon led to become the 3rd leading business in the industry. Another new technology that was improved was science and medicine. Vitamins were discovered improving people’s health. This helped to soon decrease the deaths of some diseases like Diphtheria.
